Youth Track Application

Youth track featured at the conference.

We invite youth in your area to participate in the Connections in Prevention Conference Youth Track! Youth participants will learn what it means to be a change agent in their environments and how they can become the architects of their futures. They will learn from experts in the field and gain important prevention and leadership skills.

To foster a diverse experience for our participants, we will accept a maximum of two (2) youths from any particular school, program, or coalition. If additional spots are available, we will consider accepting more youth from a school, program, or coalition on a case-by-case basis.

Applicant Criteria:

  • Youth in grades 9th-12th (during the 2024-2025 school year).
  • Youth involved in prevention, youth leadership, or other youth groups.
  • Youth interested in becoming advocates for healthy environments for themselves and their peers.
  • Youth who want to learn more about substance use prevention and how to impact change.
  • Must have an adult chaperone on-site during the conference.

If chosen to participate, youth can do so at no cost. One chaperone from each school, program, or coalition can receive one complimentary conference registration for the Connections in Prevention Conference. The youth or the programs with which they’re associated must cover all travel and lodging costs.
